Registration Information & Instructions

Welcome to the Newburgh Teacher Center On-line Registration Information and Instructions Page.

You can be accepted into three (3) courses. Register for the courses that are most important to you first.

PLEASE NOTE THE NEW CHANGES IN REGISTERING:

Due to changes in funding at this time, NYS SED has communicated to New York State Teacher Centers that they should abstain from collecting registration fees.

Based on this directive, the Newburgh Teacher Center Policy Board passed a motion regarding registering for in-service courses and workshops that is now policy:

Whereas, NYS SED has communicated to Teacher Center that the collection of registration fees is no longer allowable, be it

Resolved: That the Newburgh Teacher Center, until otherwise notified by NYS SED, will no longer charge registration fees for Newburgh Teacher Center in-service courses and workshops, and

Whereas, Teachers/TAs who are booked, do not show for class, and take a slot that could otherwise have been attended by other teachers/TAs, be it further

Resolved: That for the sake of fairness, that booked Teachers/TAs must notify the NTC by email (NO phone calls), within 5 days after being accepted into a course, that they intend to drop the course. If said communication does not occur then the Teacher/TA forfeits their ability to take an in-service course for 2 semesters (Summer/Fall or Winter/Spring).

*Special Note: A link for Rockland Teacher Center is posted below for 1 credit on-line courses offered through the Rockland Teacher Center from the New York State Teacher Center Online Academy. These on-line courses have been approved by the Newburgh Teacher Center Policy Board.

The Newburgh Teacher Center Registration process has been designed to efficiently offer in-service courses to Newburgh teachers and to insure fairness and equity when registering.
